China,2 July 2004-As part of its ongoning efforts to
build its presence in China, Abacus International, Asia Pacific's
leading Global Distribution Service(GDS), will stage a series of
roadshows in various Chinese cities early this month to introduce
several of its leading-edge travel solutions to its Chinese customers.
The roadshow will take in five Chinese cities-Beijing, Shenyang,
Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou between July 1-9 2004.
"This is the first time Abacus has staged a roadshow of this
magnitude for our Chinese customers. We're looking forward to showcasing
the latest Abacus products and solutions to our Chinese travel agents
and demonstrating how they can help them expand their reach, automate
processes and drive down costs,"said Mr Li Dong Qi,General Manager,Abacus
China.

agencies to come up to speed with the technology that can help them
stay ahead of the competition and help them serve their increasingly
sophisticated clientele." said Mr Li.

Abacus partner Hertz also took part in the Beijing event and showcased
how their car rental facilities were available to agents through Abacus
booking solutions.
